Cookie Policy

About This Policy
Roamlayer is operated by ROAMLAYER LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on roamlayer.com, why we use them, and how you can control your preferences.
This policy applies to visitors browsing and shopping on our travel clothing and accessories website. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy for information about how we handle personal information and respond to privacy requests.
1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help maintain shopping sessions, remember preferences, and support website functions.
We also use related technologies, including pixels, scripts, and browser storage, to support website operations and, with your consent, measure activity and advertising results. References to cookies in this policy include these technologies where they serve the purposes described below.
First-party cookies are set under our website’s domain. Third-party cookies are set under another provider’s domain.
Session cookies remain for the duration of a browsing session. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
2. How We Categorise Cookies
Our cookie preference panel separates cookies into five categories.
Necessary Cookies
Necessary cookies support essential website functions and services you request, including:
- Maintaining shopping sessions and shopping cart contents.
- Supporting account login and authentication.
- Enabling checkout and transaction-related functions.
- Protecting website and account security.
- Remembering your cookie consent or refusal.
These cookies remain active when you select “Reject All.” They cannot be disabled through our preference panel. You can block them through your browser, but doing so can interrupt shopping cart, login, or checkout functions.
Advertising and optional analytics are not treated as necessary cookies.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies support optional features and remember preferences beyond what is necessary to provide a service you request.
These cookies are enabled only with your consent. If you refuse them, the corresponding optional features remain disabled.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, including which pages they visit and how they navigate between pages.
They support the assessment of website usage and help identify areas for improvement. They are enabled only with your consent.
Performance Cookies
Performance cookies help measure website performance, including page responsiveness and technical issues affecting the browsing experience.
They are enabled only with your consent.
Advertisement Cookies
Advertisement cookies and related tracking technologies help measure advertising results, attribute website interactions to advertisements, and support audience selection and remarketing.
They are enabled only with your consent. Refusing these cookies does not prevent you from browsing products or placing an order.
The categories shown in the preference panel describe the available controls. A category appearing in the panel does not mean that every technology associated with that category is active.
3. Advertising Technologies and Information Collected
Our advertising tools include Meta Pixel and Google Ads. We use these tools for advertising measurement, conversion attribution, audience analysis, and advertising optimisation.
Depending on the event being recorded, the information involved includes:
- IP addresses.
- Browser and device information.
- Cookie identifiers and other online identifiers.
- Pages visited and referral information.
- Product views and shopping cart activity.
- Checkout and purchase events.
- Order value, currency, and product information associated with a purchase event.
These tools are controlled through the Advertisement category. An advertising tool remains in that category even when it also produces analytics reports. Accepting Analytics cookies alone does not authorise advertising tracking.
Advertising providers receive information generated through their tools when you consent to the relevant tracking. Their handling of that information is also governed by their own privacy notices.
For more information about these providers’ privacy practices and tracking technologies, please consult their official resources below. These resources supplement our explanation of how we use their tools.
Official privacy and technology resources:
- Meta: Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.
- Google: How Google Uses Information from Sites or Apps That Use Its Services.
Your choices on our website are managed through our cookie preference panel. Visiting a provider’s website does not replace or change the choices you have saved with us.
4. Accepting or Rejecting Cookies
Our cookie banner is displayed to visitors worldwide. Before you make a choice, only necessary cookies are active. Non-essential cookies and tracking technologies remain disabled until you consent to their category.
The banner provides the following options:
- Accept All: Enable all non-essential categories described in the preference panel.
- Reject All: Keep necessary cookies active and refuse all non-essential categories.
- Customise: Review the categories individually, select your preferences, and click Save My Preferences.
Closing the banner, scrolling, continuing to browse, or leaving the banner unanswered does not constitute consent.
You do not need to accept advertising, analytics, performance, or optional functional cookies to place an order.
5. Saving Your Preferences for 180 Days
We use CookieYes to manage our cookie banner and your preferences.
The necessary cookieyes-consent cookie stores your choices under our website’s domain. The preference validity period is 180 days, unless you clear the cookie earlier.
After this period expires, we ask you to make your choices again when you next visit the website. If you use a different browser or device, or delete your browser’s cookies, you will also be asked to choose again.
This 180-day period applies to saving your cookie preferences. It does not mean that every other cookie or all information collected through tracking is retained for 180 days.
For information about our consent management provider’s privacy practices and its terms for processing customer data, please consult the official resources below.
Official privacy and data processing resources:
These documents describe the provider’s practices and processing terms. The 180-day preference period stated in this policy reflects our website’s settings.
6. Changing Your Choices and Withdrawing Consent
You can reopen the website’s cookie preference panel at any time using the cookie settings control.
To change your choices, enable or disable the relevant categories and click Save My Preferences. You can also select Reject All to refuse all non-essential categories.
When you reject non-essential cookies or save a withdrawal of consent, the corresponding non-essential tracking stops immediately. Necessary website functions remain active.
Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before you withdrew consent. It also does not automatically delete information already collected.
To remove cookies already stored on your device, use your browser’s cookie settings. To request deletion of personal information held by us, contact [email protected].
7. Cookie Expiry and Personal Information Retention
A cookie’s expiry period determines how long it remains on your device. This is separate from how long information collected through that cookie is retained.
Session cookies expire at the end of the browsing session. Persistent cookies expire according to their individual settings or are removed when you delete them.
Deleting or allowing a cookie to expire does not automatically erase information previously received by us or a third-party provider. Our Privacy Policy explains our personal information retention practices and how to submit a privacy request.
8. Browser Controls
You can use your browser settings to view, delete, or block cookies. These settings apply separately to each browser and device.
Blocking all cookies through your browser can interfere with shopping sessions, account access, and checkout. To refuse optional cookies while keeping essential shopping functions available, use the choices in our cookie banner.
Clearing browser cookies also removes your saved cookie preferences.
For instructions on managing cookies through your browser, please consult the relevant official help page.
Official browser instructions:
- Chrome: Delete, Allow, and Manage Cookies.
- Firefox: Clear Cookies and Site Data.
Browser controls operate separately from our cookie preference panel. Deleting cookies removes stored browser data but does not itself delete information previously collected by us or another provider.
9. Payments and External Websites
Our shopping cart, checkout, and account pages operate under roamlayer.com. Certain payment methods or identity verification steps involve pages operated by an external payment or authentication provider.
Those external pages use their own cookie settings and privacy notices. Our preference panel does not control cookies set on external websites.
We do not store full payment card numbers, CVV/CVC security codes, or full financial account credentials.
10. Email Marketing Preferences
Cookie consent and email marketing consent are separate choices.
Accepting cookies does not subscribe you to promotional emails. Rejecting advertising cookies does not cancel an existing email subscription.
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by contacting us. Unsubscribing does not stop necessary communications about your orders, payments, delivery, returns, or refunds.
11. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when our cookie practices, purposes, or service providers change. The publication date at the top identifies the current version.
Before introducing a new non-essential purpose or processing that is not covered by your existing consent, we will update the relevant information and request your consent.
Publishing an updated policy does not itself authorise additional tracking.
12. Company Information and Contact
